Objectives

  • To improve the treatment of nervous system diseases.
  • To purchase cutting-edge equipment.
  • To promote training and research in the field of neurosciences.

Achievements

  • Healthcare and medical training campaigns in 10 regions of the Kingdom of Morocco: Rabat – Casablanca – Tangiers – Tetouan – Chaouen – Al Hoceima – Nador – Fez – Oujda – El Jadida.
  • Purchase of medical and surgical items for poor patients.
  • Purchase of medical equipment for hospital departments.
  • Organization of 8 national and international congresses.
  • 299 training missions achieved outside Morocco.
  • 31 seminars held for postgraduate training.
  • Support to the organization of the World Congress of Marrakech in June 2005.
  • Building and equipment of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit in 1993. Cost: 35 million Dirhams. The unit has been managed since 1994 autonomously according to an agreement between Hassan II Foundation and the UHC of Rabat-Sale.
  • Building and equipment of the National Center for Rehabilitation and Neurosciences between 2001 and 2008. Cost: 170 million Dirhams. The center was open to patients in 2008. It has been managed according to a private nonprofit mode, according to an agreement between Hassan II Foundation, the UHC of Rabat-Sale, and the Ministry of Health.
